Sukomaran Kunjiraman (Director)
Sukomaran is a global leader and a co-founder of the Global Strategic Advisory Sdn. Bhd. (GSA), a centre of expertise and innovation dedicated to supporting businesses as they strive to achieve and sustain greater performance in a context of limited resources and market access.
Sukomaran had been with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) for the 36 years. MIDA is the principal Malaysian government agency responsible for the promotion and development of the manufacturing and services sectors in Malaysia. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, MIDA has 22 offices globally.
He has held various leadership positions that include more than 16 years in MIDA overseas offices, viz. 5 years in Los Angeles as Vice Consul Investment, and as Director of the MIDA offices for 8 years in Chicago and about 4 years in Singapore. He has advised clients around the world on a wide range of topics over the course of his MIDA career and has helped more than 200 US, Singaporean as well as other multinational companies to establish their operations and expand their businesses in Malaysia and the region. He has accumulated a wealth of experience and knowledge in many aspects of doing business in Malaysia and this will be a great opportunity for companies to tap on his expertise.
Sukomaran has also served various industries such as automotive, food, chemicals, plastics, electronics, textiles, non-metallic minerals and others taking the lead role in some of them that involve processing applications from companies for licenses, incentives, expatriate positions, import duty and sales tax exemptions, vetting technical agreements, developmental and promotional work. Sukomaran holds an Honors Degree in Economics Majoring in Business Administration, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1978.
Ryvi Raman is a Co-founder of Global Strategy Advisory Sdn Bhd (GSA) which provides advisory and consultancy services to local and global investors. Ryvi has wide experience covering more than 23 years of engagement in human resource development in a variety of industries such as hospitality, education, manufacturing, transportation and healthcare.
He has held senior positions in small and large multi cultured, national and international organisations and has developed key strengths in strategic people management, organisation building, talent acquisition and manpower reorganization. His expertise also includes performance management systems, compensation management, industrial relations and training & development.
Besides consulting on human capital management across industries, Ryvi has facilitated in seeking approvals for work passes for expatriates from the relevant authorities and dealing with local and international select agencies in sourcing the right talents for businesses. He has placed motivated and dedicated key talents in many organisations who have successfully transformed those entities into profitability.
Ryvi has been featured as a key speaker at HR Global Conferences and he is a regular speaker at local forums on a number of HR issues. He has participated in several meetings and workshops organized by PEMANDU and other government agencies and has contributed ideas and opinions on manpower development and challenges in Malaysia. Ryvi holds a Bachelors of Arts (Hons) degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a MBA (HR) from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Patrick Chua (Associate)
Patrick Chua, Associate of Global Strategy Advisory Sdn Bhd is also the Co-founder and CEO of ISAAC Healthcare is an experienced company executive, principal consultant, project director, entrepreneur, inventor and software developer. Patrick is the Managing Partner of the ISAAC Healthcare and is also the concurrent COO of Aurum Healthcare Group of Companies. Prior to this role he was the CEO of AUTOSCAN Technology for many years, from the invention of its proprietary software technology to the commercialization of a range of technology mobility products leading to sales in Asia and Europe. Patrick has nearly 20 years’ experience in areas of medical device commercialization from conception to market release including applied research, prototype development and testing, product development, manufacturing, regulatory submission and clinical trials. Patrick Chua holds a Degree in Business (majoring in Computer Science) with Distinction and a Masters in Business Administration with the University of Hull, UK.
Martin Wong (Associate)
Martin Wong, an Associate of Global Strategy Advisory Sdn Bhd is also the Founder and CEO of AURUM Healthcare has more than twenty years of consulting experience in the medical devices and components industry, Mr. Wong has consistently deliver growth and profitability for the companies that he had led. He specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of specialty medical products. Mr. Wong has also secured ongoing projects and partnerships with leading industry players in the U.S. and Europe. His vision is to introduce quality medical innovative solutions to reduce the spread of infection, accurate and reliable diagnosis that leads to the advancements drug delivery. He has led and established the Company’s long-range plans, strategies and policies. Mr. Wong is a visionary leader. He understands technology and possesses the business acumen to articulate a technology vision for developing effective medical devices to support the Company’s growth. His expertise encompasses clinical and regulatory input into all aspects of medical device development, manufacturing, and commercialization, including clinical trials, clinical evidence, and post-marketing issues; and quality management system auditing to ISO 13485 and ISO 11135. Martin holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
Nathan Maier (Associate)
Nathan Maier, Associate of Global Strategy Advisory Sdn Bhd is also the Co-founder and CEO of Lighthouse Technologies who has more than 15 years of consulting experience in the field. He held the position of Trainer/ International Product Consultant, USA and South East Asia. He has been involved with many innovative 3D Printing technologies and has made significant contributions to the medical device industry. Nathan has held senior product development management positions for Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic Inc., and Abbott Laboratories. He has been involved for the initial clinical proof of concept study and is leading the setting up of manufacturing of the company’s products. Nathan has significant experience in medical device R&D, in vivo and in vitro testing, and transfer to manufacturing. Specialties including stent design, orthopedic surgical tools & implants, delivery catheters, RF catheters, laser & laparoscopic surgical disposable tools, medical implant surface coatings, and pharmaceuticals with 11 products successfully released to market. He is also involved in the product development, commercialization, medical device production facility set-up, conceptual design, product development, protocol & process instruction writing, test method design & development, and device production scale-up. He has authored justifications and reports for customer FDA 510K and PMA submissions. He has cross-functional management of Quality, Regulatory, R&D personnel, manufacturing staff, and outside consultants, vendors, and suppliers. On record, Nathan has successfully filed 11 granted U.S. and international patents and 20 pending patents. Nathan holds Bachelor of Science engineering degree in Biology.
